Scams Targeting InsureTech Connect Attendees and Exhibitors
Throughout the years, InsureTech Connect has been a target of groups trying to offer all types of services from fictitious hotel arrangements to fraudulent lead generation services.
We understand that you may be contacted by outside companies or individuals attempting to sell you exhibitor services, lead retrieval, hotel reservations, attendee lists, or more for the upcoming ITC Vegas event. Please rest assured, we never sell our attendee's or sponsor's/exhibitor's contact information – in fact, we follow strict data privacy regulations at Clarion Events, ITC’s parent company.
These 3rd party companies will scrape event websites for exhibiting, sponsoring and attending companies and research contact information in order to present themselves as members of our team or show partners. Unless the phone call is coming from one of our verified team members or the email is from one of the following addresses, it is a scam—and we ask that you please proceed with caution!
Authorized InsureTech Connect & Partner Domains
@insurtechconnect.com and @clarionevents.com (overall event updates and information)
@events.cdsreg.com or @xpressreg.net (registration and lead retrieval)
@theexpogroup.com (booth set up, shipping, exhibit services)
@connectionshousing.com (hotel)
@snoball.events.com (event participation promotion)
Don’t be fooled by other parties using ITC Vegas, Insuretech Connect, Clarion Events name and/or logo – they are NOT affiliated with Clarion Events or Insuretech Connect. At the very least, prior to engaging with any of these outside companies, please verify with your sales team representative, check our list of team members, and/or check the prospective vendor’s rating at www.bbb.org.
InsureTech Connect Attendee List Rules
InsureTech Connect does not sell, rent, or distribute any database lists, nor do we disclose email addresses. Statements claiming to offer these attendee lists are fraudulent. If you receive a message from a source outside of InsureTech Connect, ITC Vegas, or Clarion Events (ITC’s parent company) please do not interact with them. Valid InsureTech Connect emails will include “Email ID Text”@insuretechconnect.com or “Email ID Text”@clarionevents.com.
Unauthorized Service Providers
As an exhibitor, you may be contacted by unauthorized service providers for audiovisual, carpet, exhibitor directory listing, etc. — who claim to be affiliated with InsureTech Connect. These solicitations may appear to provide cost savings; however, the rates listed could be misleading and, in some cases, the vendor may not be a credible supplier.
Unauthorized Housing Providers
The only official housing company for ITC Vegas 2024 is Connections Housing. All other companies do not have any affiliation with ITC Vegas. We highly caution you from engaging unauthorized companies because if/when issues arise, ITC Vegas management does not have the ability to provide assistance in solving them.
