ITC Vegas: Bridging the gap between talent and talent seekers

Bill Harris

The insurance industry is gearing up for a huge transition.

Half of the workforce is projected to retire within the next four years, leaving a 400,000-worker deficit across the insurance ecosystem. And yet, only 4% of millennials are showing an interest in insurance careers, a group that will represent 75% of the US workforce by 2025.1

At the same time, our $7 trillion industry is running full speed ahead.2

At the frontier of innovation is artificial intelligence, revolutionizing insurance from all angles. We are beginning to see use cases where AI is transforming underwriting processes, expanding parametric coverage, accelerating predictive claims analytics, bolstering fraud detection, and expediting embedded insurance. Through it all, the industry is continually improving outcomes.

Losing valuable, skilled employees as complicated technology emerges presents huge opportunities for insurers to propel their businesses forward — into a universe of possibilities.

As millennial and Gen Z cohorts dominate the workforce, these younger, skilled professionals will continue to gravitate toward technology innovation within the insurance industry. And lots of them will be headed to ITC Vegas (October 15-17) to find their next great mentor, connection, round of funding, or job opportunity.

ITC Vegas brings together the greatest assembly of thought leaders, innovators, investors, and incumbents from across the globe. During this challenging time of climate change, generational workforce shifts, and a persistent hard market, making connections with new talent prospects while sustaining relationships across the industry is key to a thriving future.

ITC Vegas is bigger and more manageable than ever

ITC is home to over 9,000 participants, 600 exhibitors, and 500 speakers on eight simultaneous content stages. This year, the focus is harnessing the power of this massive conference to optimize the experience for every participant.

That’s why we curated programs dedicated to each type of attendee this year, including carriers ranging from property and casualty to life and annuity to group benefits, reinsurers, brokers, third party administrators, independent agents, and technology solution providers.

A restructure to the expo floor will make it easier to meet and connect with more people in your industry niche. You’ll be able to quickly learn the lay of the land so you can maximize your time connecting with the right people in the right areas.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • The 1:1 Meeting Zone remains in the center of the ITC universe as a dedicated space for ITC Vegas attendees to meet, collaborate, and partner with each other.

  • We’ll have three distinct ITC Neighborhoods for L&A + Group Benefits, Brokers, and Latin America (LATAM). Each neighborhood facilitates connection and conversation, with a central town square that includes a lounge space and informal meeting area, dedicated meetups and programming, special activations, refreshments and food, exhibit space for startups and other solutions providers.

  • Innovation Alley is home to cutting-edge startups and insurtechs, which will span across all the neighborhoods — anchoring each one to the technology solutions that can help to meet their needs.

Moreover, our many education, content, and information opportunities will be tailored for each business type. We will also be launching three special content programs for Agents, Brokers, and LATAM during our Kickoff Day, Tuesday October 15.

The networking at ITC Vegas is second to none

We can’t wait to see you at ITC Vegas, October 15-17. Whether you’re seeking out new talent or looking for your next career move, we’re confident that your next great connection will be there looking for you, too.
