Scott Aiello is a seasoned insurance executive with over 25 years of experience in underwriting, strategy, reinsurance, product development, and financial leadership. He currently serves as Vice President of Specialty Underwriting at Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL), a role he assumed in June 2025, overseeing the company’s Specialty business and acting as the executive liaison to the Specialty Insurance Advisory Council. Scott is on the Board of Bermuda-based Cedar Hamilton Limited which is a wholly owned subsidiary and Class 3 insurer of NEIL.

Prior to joining NEIL, Scott was a Vice President at Simply Business with a focus on executing their strategy and building out a competitive insurance product to compete alongside top small business insurers. Scott had oversight of Harborway Insurance which was created to fill a void in the marketplace for appropriately priced insurance solutions for start-up entrepreneurs. In addition to his experience at Simply Business Scott was previously a Vice President and Product Manager at Liberty Mutual overseeing the Industry Practices function with responsibility for setting product and underwriting strategy for targeted industries.

Scott holds a BBA from Ohio University and an MBA from Villanova University and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
