Sandeep Khuperkar

Sandeep Khuperkar is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Data Science Wizards (DSW), the company behind DSW UnifyAI OS, the Enterprise AI Operating System that enables organizations to build, govern, operate, and scale AI and Agentic AI through a single enterprise-wide operating foundation. With nearly three decades of experience in enterprise technology and more than 25 years of leadership in the open source ecosystem, Sandeep is helping shape the next generation of enterprise AI by enabling organizations to evolve from fragmented AI initiatives into AI-native enterprises, where AI becomes a governed, scalable, and measurable business capability.

A long-standing advocate of open source technologies, Sandeep has played a significant role in building and scaling open source technology ecosystems across India and Southeast Asia. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in enabling enterprise adoption of foundational open source technologies, helping organizations modernize their digital infrastructure while building technology businesses from the ground up. Prior to founding DSW, he led the expansion of open source technologies across India and Southeast Asia, including building the NGINX business in India from the ground up and driving enterprise adoption of modern application infrastructure.

Earlier in his career, Sandeep spent six years at IBM leading the System z business in India, where he championed Linux on Mainframes across large enterprises and mid-sized organizations. Before IBM, he was part of the founding team of Red Hat India in the early 2000s and played an instrumental role in establishing and growing the company's presence in India. As Head of Pre-Sales, he helped accelerate enterprise adoption of Linux through solution architecture, technical leadership, and customer engagement, contributing significantly to the growth of the open source movement across the region.

Beyond DSW, Sandeep is an entrepreneur, AI speaker, open source advocate, and mentor with a keen interest in the transformative potential of quantum computing. He serves as a Mentor of Change for the Atal Innovation Mission (NITI Aayog), contributes to engineering education through advisory roles, and is an active member of the Open Source Initiative (OSI) and the Linux Foundation. Passionate about nurturing the next generation of innovators, he actively mentors students, entrepreneurs, and young technology professionals across India. Sandeep holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics.
