Ryan Steil is the founder and CEO of Prediction Lab. He's an actuary, data scientist, and software engineer. He built predictive models at Liberty Mutual, ran actuarial engineering at Hippo, and led actuarial innovation at PURE. He's used every tool on the market, got fed up with the trade-offs, and in January 2025 left to build the software he always wanted. Since then he's been building Prediction Lab to bring the transformation of generative AI into the world of predictive modeling.
