Reid began his career in engineering, working in geophysics, geotechnical and geoenvironmental. He then took the plunge into insurance and spent a decade at Marsh. The first five years were spent on the retail side in Toronto, leading placements for mining, Oil&Gas, and Nuclear clients, with the latter five years spent in the UK, working in risk management, before moving into Placement and Digital, with his final role being the Global Digital Placement Leader at Marsh. He then moved over to Verisk for the past two and half years, working as their Chief Digital Officer, with the initial focus being on getting Marsh across the line with Whitespace, and getting Whitespace widely adopted across the market as the predominate digital placement platform. He was also responsible for designing and launching the Digital Follow Solution which powers McGill’s Auton Facility, as well as set and executed Verisk’s digital distribution strategy.
