Rajamuthiah (Raja) Nellaiappan, CPCU is Head of Insurance Partner Ecosystem and Offering Marketplace at Cognizant. He works at the intersection of insurance, technology, and innovation, bringing together insurtechs, technology providers, analysts, and ecosystem partners to help insurers navigate the next era of transformation. Raja's long-term mission is helping insurers close the gap between AI ambition and AI value. He believes the industry's greatest challenge is no longer access to technology, but the ability to translate innovation into meaningful outcomes for customers, employees, and society.

Over a 29-year career spanning technology leadership, business growth, and ecosystem development, Raja has helped shape strategic partnerships and industry solutions that enable insurers to modernize, grow, and build resilience. A former technologist with a CPCU designation, he combines engineering rigor with deep insurance expertise.

Beyond his ecosystem leadership role, Raja has been instrumental in architecting Cognizant's flagship insurance industry initiatives, creating platforms that foster collaboration, innovation, and market dialogue across the insurance ecosystem. He has a particular focus on insurance innovation, ecosystem-driven transformation, and agentic AI, and is known for introducing practical frameworks such as TEM (Trust, Empathy, and Winning Moments) that help organizations turn emerging technology into measurable business outcomes.
