Pierre-Olivier is the Vice President of Ratemaking and Business Solutions for Desjardins General Insurance Group in Canada, the 3rd largest P&C Insurer in Canada. In his role, he is responsible for managing the profitability of personal lines property and auto lines of business, in addition to providing analytical and business expertise to all other departments of the company.

Since 2009, Pierre-Olivier has held various roles at Desjardins, primarily in actuarial departments and R&D. Throughout the years, he has developed a strong technical and actuarial knowledge. He has also developed a comprehensive understanding of the entire manufacturing process of P&C insurance companies through direct collaboration with and support for various company departments, including Marketing, Claims, and Underwriting. He also led the migration of Desjardins Pricing Engine using WTW’s Radar technology.

Pierre-Olivier graduated from Laval University in Quebec City with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
