Pat Kinsel
Pat Kinsel is the founder and CEO of Proof, an identity authorization network designed to secure trust in all digital transactions through identity verification, fraud prevention, and transaction authentication. The company has digitized and brought trust to countless industries across housing, retirement, financial services, auto, healthcare, and education, working with many of the Fortune 100.
Early on, Proof unlocked the first-ever fully online mortgage closing and the nation’s first end-to-end digital will. The company has now expanded its online notarization platform to introduce cryptographic signatures and advanced fraud, deepfake, and anti-forgery capabilities to secure every customer interaction, from identity verification to eSignature, authorizations, and account management.
Proof brings certainty to life’s most important transactions in a world where generative AI and other threats make it impossible to trust the people and the records we interact with.
Pat was previously the founder and CEO of Spindle, which was acquired by Twitter in 2013. He was also a partner at Polaris Partners, where he led investments in Drizly, which was acquired by Uber in 2021, and a product leader at Microsoft. He lives in Boston, MA, with his wife and four kids.
