Dr. Megan Linkin is an expert parametric natural catastrophe underwriter and structurer for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, based in New York City. 

She is a leading industry expert in developing and underwriting parametric insurance solutions to protect corporates and governments against natural catastrophe-related losses.  Prior to her current role, Megan worked as a natural hazards expert for Swiss Re's Public Sector Solutions team, a weather derivative underwriter at Allianz Risk Transfer and an atmospheric perils specialist for the Swiss Re Cat Perils team.  

Megan has designed several award winning parametric insurance solutions, including Swiss Re STORM and Swiss Re HAIL.  She has been interviewed by The Weather Channel, NBC News, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and Huffington Post, and has testified before the United States Senate regarding the impacts of climate change on the insurance industry.

Megan received her Ph.D. and M.Sc. in atmospheric and oceanic science from the University of Maryland and her B.Sc. in meteorology from Rutgers University..  She also holds a Certified Consulting Meteorologist Seal from the American Meteorological Society.
