Marina Barg is Ascot US Chief Claims Officer, overseeing the technical claims handling and strategic direction of the US claims department. She has over 25 years of legal and insurance industry experience in a variety of senior claims leadership roles with major specialty property and casualty insurance companies, including AIG, Starr, Navigators, W.R. Berkley, and now Ascot Group. Marina is a past Board member of ClaimsxChange, a claims industry group dedicated to claims learning and education.  She is an active member of Ascot’s mentorship program and of the Women and Allies Employee Resource group.  Marina is a frequent speaker at insurance industry events, most recently as a Key Note Speaker at Guidewire’s annual Connections 2025 conference.  She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in international studies from the Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate (Magna Cum Laude) from Seton Hall Law School.
