Ludovico is Head of AI Transformation at Akur8. Ludovico joined Akur8 in 2021 and has a strong track record of bringing the frontiers of AI and ML into production for customers. He has upgraded Akur8’s engineering and R&D capabilities to leverage AI tooling and build processes around AI-augmented software development. Prior to that, he led the company’s R&D efforts and developed the mathematical techniques behind Individual and Ratebook Optimization. He also led the engineering team in the development of the Rate-making module. Before joining the insurtech industry, he obtained his PhD in theoretical physics, applying AI and ML models to the study of cosmology.
