James Webb
James Webb is Industry Solutions & Strategy Director for P&C Insurance at Salesforce, where he leads solution strategy for the company's property and casualty insurance platform. He connects technology capabilities with the practical realities of how insurers operate — shaping product direction and go-to-market strategy across core insurance operations, underwriting, claims management, distribution, and AI-driven customer engagement.
Having begun his career in reinsurance at Guy Carpenter, James has spent over two decades at the intersection of insurance and technology. He has held software product management and marketing roles at firms serving both non-life and life insurers, covering solution areas from core policy administration and actuarial modeling to catastrophe risk analytics and customer engagement. Prior to joining Salesforce, James held positions at CoreLogic Eqecat, SunGard Financial Systems, FIS, Fadata, and Vlocity, which Salesforce acquired in 2020.
Today, James works closely with insurers, MGAs, and global technology partners to define how modern insurance platforms can support both traditional and digital-first carriers. His recent work includes leading industry analyst engagements, as well as driving underwriting and digital insurance solution strategy across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. He is based in London.
