Freddie Scarratt

Freddie Scarratt is Global Deputy Head of InsurTech and Global AI Liability Lead within Gallagher Re’s Digital Risks practice. He advises insurers, reinsurers, MGAs and high-growth technology businesses on reinsurance, capacity, capital and growth strategy, with a particular focus on how emerging technologies are reshaping risk transfer.

Freddie leads Gallagher Re’s international InsurTech activity and is responsible for the firm’s global strategy around AI liability and digital risk. He works with carriers, reinsurers and technology companies to understand where new exposures are emerging, how insurance products need to evolve, and how the market can respond to the rapid adoption of AI. He is a regular speaker and moderator at major insurance and technology conferences, bringing a practical reinsurance perspective to some of the industry’s most important emerging risk debates. Freddie also has deep experience in mortgage credit reinsurance, including his role in structuring and implementing the UK’s Deposit Unlock scheme.
