Francisco Valenzuela
Francisco Valenzuela holds a degree in Public Administration from the University of Chile and began his career at Editorial Gestión. In 1989 he joined La Interamericana, an insurance company belonging to the AIG group, as head of the accident and health business line, where he worked for 4 years.
He later joined Cigna Seguros de Vida, where he was in charge of the Special Products Division (SPD), developing different sales and distribution channels; sales force, branches, direct marketing and telemarketing through partnerships with banks, financial institutions and retailers. In 1995 he was appointed Head of Business Development for all of Latin America.
In 1997 he joined BNP Paribas Cardif as CEO of Chile. During the 13 years in charge of the country, he established great strategic alliances with retail and banking, managing to position the Company as a leader in the development of bancassurance insurance.
In March 2010, he was appointed Regional Director of BNP Paribas Cardif for Latin America, assuming the mission of directing the Company's growth in different countries in the region; Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
In January 2012 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of BNP Paribas Cardif Chile.
In March 2013, as a complement to his regional role, he became part of the Executive Committee of the BNP Paribas Cardif Group, the team that leads BNP Paribas Cardif's operations in the world.
