Chetan Gautam is an InsurTech leader with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He currently serves Chubb Group as Head of Global Pricing Platforms and Data. Chetan coded his first pricing API in 1998 for an online platform that offered personal insurance in the US market. Since then, he has served multiple specialty and general insurance carriers, leading global data and analytics enablement programs. In his current role at Chubb, he has successfully developed and implemented, what he calls, the Rating Platform Modernization Framework (RPM), which implies “Speed.” He claims that the framework enables Chubb to accelerate the rollout of new products and respond to market changes with rapid rate updates. 

He believes the insurance industry is a great place to be right now. While some large insurers are still lagging in their digital journey, those that are investing in technology and skills are forging ahead. However, AI has the potential to level the field. Insurers who have lagged can now quickly catch up with the help of AI. 

On a personal note, Chetan lives in the Philadelphia region with his wife and two boys. He is also a pilot, a mindfulness and breathwork instructor, and he enjoys kayaking and hiking on weekends.
