Camilo Cruz
Camilo Cruz is the CEO and Co-Founder of Proxima, a U.S.-based insurtech company delivering AI-powered automation and nearshore insurance operations for carriers across the United States and Latin America.
With ~20 years of experience, he previously served as VP of Operations at UNIT, S.A., where he lead the development of the first fullstack digital insurance carrier in the Caribbean and Central America for the largest insurance group in the DR. Earlier in his career, he founded and exited multiple eCommerce ventures in the U.S. and Latin America.
Today, Camilo leads the deployment of AI proprietary software blended with BPO services that transform insurance operations in highly complex scenarios.
He holds a Master’s in eBusiness Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, a B.A. in Multimedia and is certified in Scrum, Agile, and organizational culture management.
