Brian Griffin
Brian Griffin is a claims executive, strategist, and industry thought leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning claims operations, field execution, innovation, business transformation, customer success, and strategic growth.
Having begun his career in 1994 when claims were documented with paper files, measuring tapes, and Polaroid photographs, Brian has experienced firsthand the extraordinary transformation of the claims profession and now focuses much of his work on what comes next: the convergence of experienced claims talent, artificial intelligence, automation, technology, and human judgment.
Brian currently serves as Vice President at SWA Claims Management, where he works with insurance carriers, mutual insurers, MGAs, InsurTechs, and specialty programs to develop scalable claims solutions across catastrophe, daily property, commercial, specialty, desk, and TPA operations.
Prior to joining SWA, Brian held claims leadership roles with Liberty Mutual Insurance, including National Claims Manager for Strategy, Innovation and New Concepts. His experience gives him a unique perspective spanning frontline claims execution, carrier operations, technology strategy, transformation, and the practical realities of implementing innovation at scale.
Brian is also the author of The Great Independent Adjuster Migration, a ten part thought-leadership series examining the forces reshaping the claims profession, and The Great Knowledge Migration, his latest research initiative exploring how the industry can preserve and transfer decades of accumulated claims knowledge as the workforce and technology landscape evolve.
