Bharat Kumar is Strategic Business Unit Head for Cognizant's Insurance Practice, where he leads a half a billion+ P&L across Life & Annuity, Retirement, and Property & Casualty — serving more than 50 of the NA's leading carriers. A 23-year veteran of insurance and technology services, Bharat is known for building things others said couldn't be built. He is a champion in leading platform led deals and outcome driven deals for our clients. He has pioneered many of Cognizant's services - UAT as a Service, first Mainframe-as-a-Service offering. Bharat also led our largest aqusiition of $2.7 bn TZ platform which is a crown jewel in the company today. He now has embarked to create something very similar in Insurance space for Cognizant for building our capabilities to serve our clients in an end to end manner. At ITC Vegas, Bharat brings a practitioner's perspective on what it actually takes to transform insurance technology — from the boardroom to the core system.
