Anthony Aikens is an underwriting executive with more than 20 years of experience driving profitable growth, operational transformation, and digital underwriting innovation across small commercial portfolios. As Small Commercial Underwriting Execution Strategy Leader at Liberty Mutual, he partners with field underwriting to align strategy and execution across digital underwriting, data and analytics, process excellence, knowledge management, and quality assurance.

Previously at The Hartford, Anthony managed multi-line P&Ls for Tech & Life Sciences and Construction, where he grew top- and bottom-line performance, expanded market share, increased agency bindability, reduced underwriting friction, and materially improved employee engagement. He also previously held senior underwriting leadership roles including Senior Managing Director of Underwriting for Central and Western Divisions at The Hartford and Underwriting Director for the Mid-Atlantic at Travelers.

He combines deep underwriting and P&L ownership with expertise in digital transformation, data-driven decision making, Lean Six Sigma process improvement, and people leadership. He holds a BBA in Finance (Summa Cum Laude) from St. Edward’s University, MBA from Wayland Baptist University, graduate certificate in Project Management at the University of Texas, and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with industry designations, CIC, AU, AINS, and AIS. He is active in the community and serves on the St. Mary’s University Risk Management & Insurance Board.
