Before founding COVU, Ali founded VERO, an AI-powered holistic insurance and risk advisor aimed at simplifying and enhancing risk management for businesses and individuals. Prior to that, Ali was a Partner at Plug and Play Ventures, where he founded and led the Plug and Play Insurtech practice, the world’s largest insurtech innovation platform. During his tenure, Ali grew the program from a one-person operation to a global team of 70+, built partnerships with 90+ insurance companies, and led investments in over 70 startups while facilitating thousands of interactions between startups and corporations.

Ali holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and has published extensively in the fields of robotics, haptics, virtual training and collaboration, and machine learning applications. This technical foundation, combined with his entrepreneurial mindset, has positioned him at the forefront of innovation in both technology and insurance.
