WingDriver
WingDriverTM turns the smartphone from the driving-safety problem into the driving-safety solution. WingDriver is a deep-tech AI driver-safety system that runs on any smartphone. It uses the phone's camera and sensors to watch the driver and the cabin in real time, detecting distraction, fatigue, pre-sleep and sleep, unsafe phone use, speeding and harsh maneuvers, and alerting the driver in the moment rather than logging the event for review later.
WingDriver is the next-generation Usage-Based Insurance (UBI).
Because it is software, WingDriver reaches drivers that fitted hardware never could: consumer vehicles, subcontracted, leased and gig vehicles, motorcycles and three-wheelers. There is nothing to buy, install or maintain beyond a phone mount. Download and activation are over-the-air and pricing is per active driver. Feature updates and AI improvements are downloaded automatically, just like your phone, laptop or watch. With users around the world, the AI is highly accurate and fast with minimum false alerts.
The product includes an Android and iOS app, behavior-change coaching with gamified driver rewards, one-press SOS with on-demand in-cabin capture, a per-driver and fleet risk and safety score analytics dashboard, and an SDK and API for companies that prefer to build it into their own mobile app. It works offline on the edge and in the background, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
WingDriver, Inc. was founded in 2022 after the now CEO and CTO both survived crashes caused by driver fatigue. Customers and partners span ride-hailing, logistics and commercial trucking, resellers and distributors, and auto insurance.
