Stere — Launch insurance products in weeks. Add any distribution channel with one API call.
Most MGAs and carriers wait months to get a product to market. Rating changes sit in an IT queue. Every new broker or platform partner turns into its own integration project. Endorsements, cancellations, and certificates get handled by hand in a shared inbox. Stere fixes all of that.
Stere is an Insurance Platform-as-a-Service for MGAs, MGA aggregators, carriers, and distribution platforms. You can use it two ways. Run it as your full core system, with quote/bind/issue, policy admin, billing, claims included. Or run it as middleware on top of the system you already have, so you can launch new products and channels without replacing anything. You pick the modules you want — core platform, Underwriting Workbench, agent portal, client portal — and skip the rest.
What clients run on Stere today
A homeowners program, built end to end: rating, forms, underwriting rules, quote and bind.
A contractor equipment program, with its full limits structure and referral rules configured by the client's own team, not by developers.
A specialty commercial auto book on E&S paper, with quote-to-issue flow.
A transactional risk program, delivered in a few weeks.
A consumer insurer in Brazil running their own website and app on top of Stere's backend.
A broker platform in Latin America connecting several carriers through one API.
The pattern is the same in each case: products go live in weeks, and adding a distribution partner is an API integration, not a six-month project.
Why it holds up
Stere is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified. The platform is built on typed REST and GraphQL APIs that cover the whole policy lifecycle, with webhooks on every event. A bind call returns in about 214 milliseconds. The schemas are documented and open, so your products can also be quoted and bound by AI agents as that channel grows.
The team comes from insurance. Our founders spent 2 decades in underwriting, risk, and program management companies like Allianz, Chubb, Hartford, Travelers with international experience. That shows up in how the platform handles rating, forms, and referral rules — it was built by people who have done the work.
What to bring to our booth
Bring the product that has been stuck in your build queue. Or the channel partner you cannot integrate. Or the renewal book you are managing out of email. We will walk through how it would be built on Stere, how long it would take, and what it would cost.
We will also run your numbers with you. Our ROI and cost-of-ownership model compares your current setup against Stere using your premium, your channels, your commission rates, and your IT costs. You can change any assumption and see the result immediately. Most MGAs have never priced out what sequential channel integration costs them in premium they never wrote.
