Monnit Corporation

Booth: 2822

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, Monnit provides remote monitoring solutions that give businesses, property owners, facility managers, and insurance organizations greater visibility into the conditions that create operational and property risk.

Monnit's wireless sensing solutions continuously monitor critical conditions such as water leaks, temperature, humidity, equipment operation, vibration, pressure, open doors, and other environmental and facility conditions. When something moves outside established parameters, the system can immediately notify designated personnel, allowing them to investigate and respond before a minor problem becomes a major event.

For the insurance industry, this creates an opportunity to move beyond simply responding to losses toward proactively preventing and mitigating them.

Water damage is a prime example. A small leak, failed supply line, overflowing fixture, or burst pipe can cause significant property damage if it remains undetected for hours or days. Monnit wireless water detection sensors can be deployed in high-risk areas throughout a property and monitored continuously. When water is detected, alerts can be delivered by text, email, phone, or through integration with other business systems—helping shorten the time between an event occurring and someone taking action.

Monnit's technology is designed to make large-scale monitoring practical. Battery-powered wireless sensors can be installed without extensive wiring or infrastructure changes, making them well suited for existing commercial buildings, schools, multifamily properties, healthcare facilities, hospitality, retail locations, and other distributed property portfolios.

The Monnit ecosystem includes 80+ wireless sensor types, gateways, and the iMonnit® monitoring platform, providing organizations with a flexible architecture that can expand beyond a single risk. Once the monitoring infrastructure is in place, organizations can add sensors to address other property and operational risks as needs evolve.

For organizations that already have their own software, analytics, or risk-management platforms, Monnit also provides integration capabilities that allow sensor data to become part of an existing technology ecosystem. This enables insurers, risk-management organizations, technology partners, and enterprise customers to incorporate real-world facility data into their own workflows, dashboards, analytics, and response processes.

Monnit solutions are used across a broad range of industries and applications where knowing that something has changed—and knowing quickly—can make a significant financial and operational difference.

For insurers and their customers, the objective is straightforward: identify risk earlier, accelerate response, reduce loss severity and provide better data for managing risk.

Detect sooner. Respond faster. Prevent costly losses.
