The world needs continuous, real-time monitoring of the physical world, and today's satellite infrastructure largely can't provide it. Most earth observation relies on low Earth orbit satellites that pass over a given location briefly before moving on, leaving critical gaps in time and location for fast moving, high stakes events. Wildfire is a clear example of why this matters, as fires can ignite and spread within minutes, and today's detection relies on a patchwork of periodic satellite passes, ground sensors, and human reports that simply can't keep up. Orbital Sentry is solving this with Fire Sentry, a geosynchronous satellite designed to provide continuous infrared monitoring over a fixed region, closing those gaps for the first time, with the same persistent capability extending naturally to other time sensitive perils across insurance, utilities, and defense.
