Things that are inspiring me
ITC President Nicole Peck shares what’s on her radar this month, covering topics from business to pop culture, branding to industry trends.
- Recent US elections are reverberating around the world. Agree or disagree, one thing is for sure. The only constant in life is change. ITC Vegas has always prided itself on being a catalyst for change for the insurance market. There have been years where we have intently watched ocean vessels and ports; this year we will be keeping a close eye on tariffs and visa requirements. We have many months until the event, we have our seatbelts on and are ready for the ride.
- Another airline incident, another reason to think through my pre-fight rituals to calm myself. Still remains the safest way to travel. Remiss not to address the bumps up ahead for aviation insurance.
- A bit late to report in, however I finished reading The Women, by Kristen Hannah. A wonderful read about a woman (and then others) who puts herself in harm's way during the Vietnam War. At ITC Vegas 2024, our participants had the opportunity to contribute to a mural that is now hanging in The Southern Nevada State Veterans Home which is a skilled nursing facility serving eligible veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents. Their mission is to honor Nevada’s veterans by offering quality care, aiding with benefits coordination, and integrating veterans into the community with respect and dignity. Proud to facilitate such a worthy endeavor.
- ServiceNow has made a monster hire. Congrats to Nigel Walsh, a longtime friend to ITC.
