Things that are inspiring me.

ITC President Nicole Peck shares what’s on her radar this month – from business to pop culture, branding to industry trends. 

• I am super excited about our Customer Insights Category Sponsor RozieAI. Why – because Rozie will help us take notes in real time during all our sessions for all our attendees. Why is this so great? It is a cool second screen experience our attendees can have in the session on their phones (in the ITC app) and it’s also a great way to catch up on the insights you may have missed when you choose to attend one session at the expense of another.
• After disappointment last month when Foo Fighters stopped their concert at Citifield one hour into the show, it has been fascinating to read about the Event Cancellation loss coverage for the Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna (cancelled in response to terror threat).
• Despite evidence suggesting the open web remains the area in which audiences actually spend their time, three-quarters of advertisers (76%) are spending 40% or less of their budgets on open web advertising as walled garden spend grows, according to WARC’s Future of Programmatic report. According to WARC forecasts, just five platforms will take over half of global advertising spend this year. Google, Meta and Amazon are the big three. Not surprisingly they are also the platforms that have resonated best with our ITC registrants. 
• Also, not surprisingly, digital insurers and marketing, sales and distribution insurtechs are the two largest categories in Ryan Browne’s The World’s Top 150 Insurtech Companies: 2024 list. It’s great to see so many ITC community members on the list!

State Farm Startup Pitch Competition: Finalists Announced

It’s time to announce the ten finalists that will take the stage at ITC Vegas on October 15, 2024, to present at the State Farm Startup Pitch Competition.  

Congratulations to all the following companies who met the criteria, have standout solutions and will move on to the next round to pitch LIVE at ITC Vegas. All finalists will have five minutes to pitch followed by five minutes of Q&A. The audience will vote for the winner after the presentations conclude. The winner will then present on the Main Stage on Thursday, October 17. Add this one to your calendar when the mobile app launches – you won't want to miss it! Your vote counts!
