1. Effort Counts 

If you’re going to do it, do it well. Put as much detail into your application as possible. I love substance! A few vague lines won’t cut it—this isn’t speed dating. 

2. Be Specific

“The future of insurance” is NOT a topic. It’s a mood. Create a sharp, actionable, and original topic that attendees won’t hear from anyone else. What’s your unique angle? What problem are you solving? If you can’t explain your idea in a few compelling sentences, chances are I won’t buy in either. 

3. Think Outside the Industry

Yes, this is an insurance innovation conference, but some of our best sessions come from outside the industry. Got a suggestion for a mind-blowing speaker from adjacent industries? Tell us. We love the unexpected. 

4. We Like Bold Topics

Don’t play it safe. If your topic is something I’ve seen a hundred times before, it’s a no-go. Take a risk. Propose the session that would make you rush to the stage. 

5. Consider Sponsorship

This is your chance to show off! Why are you the best person to speak about this? What’s your unique expertise? Sprinkle in some personality—it makes a difference.

We appreciate a good sense of humor around here. ITC Vegas is serious business, but we’re not stiff. Bring your personality to the application (just don’t overdo it). 

8. Timing is Everything
