Stephanie Shields is the Head of Employee Benefits at Equitable and a member of the company’s Operating Committee. In this role, she advances Equitable’s growing market presence and innovative offerings in Employee Benefits, overseeing strategy, distribution, product development and partnerships. Ms. Shields joined Equitable from Aflac, where she was Senior Vice President, Broker Sales. She brings a keen understanding of all aspects of group and voluntary insurance and employee benefits, with more than two decades of experience at leading insurance and financial services companies. Her broad perspective encompasses business model development, product innovation, channel strategy and client service. Ms. Shields received a Bachelor of Science degree in biobehavioral health with a concentration in business from Penn State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University.
