Sean Madgett is Vice President and Head of Strategic Partnerships for New York Life Ventures (NYL Ventures), New York Life’s corporate venture capital business.
Sean joined NYL Ventures in 2016 and leads a team responsible for sourcing strategically relevant startups for introduction, proof of concept testing, and partnership development with New York Life’s operating units. Sean’s team has added innovative capabilities across the company’s business operations, consistently averaging one PoC every 2.5 weeks.
Prior to NYL Ventures, Sean spent 7 years with Eagle Strategies LLC, New York Life’s wholly owned Registered Investment Advisor, where he held a variety of roles including Head of Operations & Service.
Sean earned a BA in Economics from Emory University, an MBA from Columbia Business School and holds the Series 7, 24, and 66 registrations from FINRA.
Outside of the office, Sean can be found at the playground with his 4 children or playing a quick nine holes of golf.
