Sasha Sanyal joined Microsoft as the Global Insurance Leader. Her role is to evolve and drive the insurance segment strategy and to engage with our top clients to bring the best of Microsoft to them. Prior to Microsoft Sasha was at Genpact where she served as the global business leader for its insurance vertical, leading a team of over 8,000 dedicated professionals tasked with the continued growth and portfolio of services for leading insurance companies around the globe. Sasha also led Genpact’s global D&I and corporate social responsibility programs, driving a structured change exercise to increase gender diversity and doubling the number of women across all organizational levels. One of her proudest achievements was the conceptualization and scale up of the flagship “Genpact Social Impact Fellowship” focused on infusing process & digital capabilities into the not-for-profit sector which has grown to 40+ fellows and 30 not-for-profit partners impacting over 20 million lives. Prior to that, Sasha led the company’s process excellence function and served as Genpact’s chief strategy officer, overseeing the building and executing of the company’s five-year financial blueprint and capability strategy for industry verticals, geographies, and horizontal solutions and services offerings.
