Michelle has over 30-years of experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry and is currently the Senior Vice President, Chief Claim Officer at Preferred Mutual Insurance Company. Her extensive claims background, contemporary vision of the future, and proven track record for driving continuous process and performance improvements, have enabled her to lead teams which exceed expectations and deliver an innovative and differentiated claims experience for organizations, agents and policyholders. Prior to joining Preferred Mutual, Michelle was the Vice President of Claims for Lyft, building a claim organization from the ground up for the ride-share company. She also held several positions at State Auto Insurance Company, including Vice President of Personal Lines Claims. She has held various other executive leadership positions, enhancing processes and delivering new solutions to drive the customer experience. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of South Alabama and holds an Associates in Claims designation (AIC).
