Haden Kirkpatrick is the Vice President of Innovation at State Farm®. He was appointed to his role in March 2021. Haden is responsible for leading the Labs @ StateFarm department, leveraging the power of innovation to bring new technologies to market and new value propositions to State Farm customers. He is excited to help lead the insurance industry toward the creation of a more innovative, customer-centric, and sustainable future.
Prior to starting his career in insurance, Haden spent 15 years in the mobile telecommunications industry where he led numerous functions across sales, marketing, product, and strategy. Throughout his career in mobile telecom, Haden worked in both the mobile carrier side of the business (most notably at T-Mobile USA) as well as the technology platform side of the business (at Motricity and Amdocs).
Haden joined the insurance industry in 2015 when he accepted the role of Head of Marketing Strategy and Innovation at Esurance. Throughout his tenure at Esurance, Haden led the repositioning of the Esurance brand. This included the development of the marketing, product, and customer experience approach to Esurance’s “Surprisingly Painless” market position. Following that success, Haden and his team were recruited to lead the future state design sprint for the transformative growth program at Allstate. As a result, Haden is well versed in merging consumer centricity, innovation management, and advanced technologies to deliver compelling, market-defining value plans that drive topline growth and bottom-line efficiencies.
In his free time, Haden enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, being outdoors, cooking, reading, and gaming
