Gary is a dynamic people leader with a background in sales, management, and coaching. He has a track record that has focused on positively transforming organizations and business units over the past 16 years. He has driven associate engagement while developing and deploying key strategies to drive exceptional performance, growth and followship at several Fortune 100 organizations. Gary currently leads the USAA Insurance Agency and Alliance Series Company (ASC) as GM and Senior Vice President. He is responsible for leading Product Development, Technology and all facets of Agency operations and performance. Prior to relocating to San Antonio, Gary was Vice President of Direct Distribution with Nationwide. In that role his responsibilities included leading direct sales of Nationwide's personal lines and commercial insurance solutions. Gary also served as President of Nationwide Brokerage Solutions, the wholesale brokerage outlet for Nationwide agents. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2009, he was with Allstate for seven years, where he had responsibility for field sales growth and leadership. Gary is a native of the United Kingdom and earned both my B.A. and M.A. degrees from Winthrop University, SC.
