Gail McGiffin is a global transformational business and IT leader with a proven track record for start-up business creation, strategic consulting, operational P&L responsibilities, technology solution delivery and software innovation. She has over 35 years of deep insurance business and technology expertise developed through hands-on experience and leadership roles both in industry and global consulting firms. Gail joined EPAM in 2022 to create a new Global Insurance Advisory practice focused on P&C and Life insurance segments across North America, UK, EMEA, Asia and Latin America, integrating advisory and EPAM engineering services. Gail was most recently the Chief Information & Operations Officer and board member at Vantage Group Holdings Ltd, a 2020 start-up (re)insurer funded at $1B by Carlyle and Hellman & Friedman and based in Bermuda and the U.S. She led the design and build-out of a cloud-first, fully-outsourced technology platform based on best-of-breed solutions and fueling data-driven insights. She also built a leading, shared services operations capability to support scalable growth and high-performing levels of service and product innovation. Prior to Vantage, Gail served as the Global Insurance Underwriting Lead and Partner/Principal at EY for 8 years. In this role, she established and scaled this new advisory business to bring the Underwriter of the Future vision and platform to life for many top-tier P&C insurers globally. Prior to her role at EY, Gail served as the Chief Information Officer and a member of the board of directors at ProSight Specialty Insurance. She was employee #3 and a founding executive with this start-up insurance company funded at $1B in 2009 by Goldman Sachs and TPG. Prior to ProSight, Gail established and led Accenture’s Global Underwriting Practice as the Managing Partner. She architected business and technology solutions for Underwriting and Product Configuration, earning multiple patent awards. Gail started her insurance career at Chubb where she held multiple business leadership roles in underwriting and product innovation and led the development of industry-first technology solutions for catastrophe management, client risk management, underwriting and policy administration.
