Erik Roen is Senior Vice President & CIO for Travelers and serves as a member of the Claim Senior Leadership Team as well as the Technology & Ops Senior Leadership Team. Erik’s leadership accountabilities span both business and technology functions and include the Technology, Claim Business Intelligence and Analytics (CBIA), Generative AI and the Business Delivery Organizations within Claim. Erik is also co-sponsor for the Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP). Most recently, Erik had responsibility for the Travelers Investigative Services organization in addition to leading CBIA. Prior to joining Claim, Erik served as Vice President of Business Intelligence supporting Middle Markets. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Risk Control for five years and was responsible for establishing their analytics department. Erik represents Travelers on the board of Carpe Data and previously sat on the board for the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Erik holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Wheaton College in Illinois and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He joined Travelers in 1998 and is a graduate of the Financial Management Leadership Development Program.
