David is based in Silicon Valley, California, leading EY’s Global Nexus business across all industry sectors. He leads a team of ~2,500 business & IT professionals who help launch new products, new capabilities, new brands and whole new companies on the EY Nexus platform. EY Nexus is used to either replace a company’s core IT operating systems, extend their existing systems, or put in place everything required from a new launch perspective. Nexus is also used as an innovation platform to help companies launch new ideas at speed on a trial basis to gain market feedback before the commitment is made to go to full production is made. Key to Nexus is leveraging best-of-breed commercially available software. EY carefully curates a vendor partner ecosystem through the vetting of thousands of potential partners. The Nexus architecture allows for rapid integration and disintermediation of vendor partners, effectively providing an obsolescence-proof solution that takes decision-making pressure off of the CTOs/CIOs. EY Nexus customers today span across Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, Automotive, Healthcare and Real Estate. The Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific are all represented with over 75 customers’ businesses empowered by Nexus. David has been in consulting since 1987 at firms including Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and BearingPoint. He also was previously an early leader in a financial services company focused on biometrics used for check cashing to service the unbanked segment in the US. He is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University.
