Chris Skowronski is the Chief Operating Officer of Munich Re Specialty Group North America. Munich Re is a multinational insurance company based in Germany and is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, primary insurance and insurance-related risk solutions. As a pioneer in risk assessment, Munich Re drives the digital transformation of the global insurance landscape, expanding products and services as new forms of risk emerge. Chris joined Munich Re as Chief Digital Officer in 2019 to design and implement a new Specialty MGA. After launching multiple lines of business on a fully integrated insurance platform, he assumed broader operational responsibility as Chief Operating Officer across Digital Experience, Data, Technology, Underwriting, Billing, and Marketing. Prior to joining Munich Re, Chris was the Head of Digital Strategy & Execution at CNA Insurance and led global transformation across internal and external user experiences. Earlier in his career, Chris worked at Accenture and several eCommerce startups, including MVP.com. Chris graduated from The University of Chicago with an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Economics.
