Chetan Gautam is an InsurTech leader with over 20 years of industry experience. He currently serves Chubb Group as Head of Global Pricing Platforms and Data. Chetan coded his first pricing API in 1998 for an online platform that offered personal insurance in the US market. Since then, he has served multiple specialty and general insurance carriers, leading global data and analytics enablement programs. In his current role at Chubb, he has successfully developed and implemented, what he calls, the Rating Platform Modernization – the RPM framework, which implies “Speed.” He claims that the framework allows Chubb to speed up the roll-out of new products and respond to market changes with quick rate updates. He believes the insurance industry is a great place to be right now! While some large insurers are still lagging on a digital journey, those keeping up with investments in technology and skills are forging forward. However, AI has the potential to level the field. Those insurers who lagged behind can now quickly catch up with the help of AI. On a personal note, Chetan lives in Philadelphia with his wife and two boys. He is also a mindfulness and breathwork instructor, and loves kayaking and hiking on weekends.
