Adam is currently Partner at Distributed Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in companies that are transforming the future of risk across Insurtech, Fintech and Health & Benefits. Adam serves as director on the boards of Armadillo and Marble and has sponsored investments in several of the fund’s portfolio companies, including Indio (acquired), Ascend, TrustLayer, CoverTree and Honeycomb Insurance. His investment and insurance expertise are rooted in 10+ years in the industry spanning roles as an investor, lawyer, and broker. Given his expertise and role within Distributed Ventures, Adam is highly engaged with several insurtech accelerators, advisory boards, and industry-focused conferences. Prior to Distributed Ventures, Adam worked for BWD Sports, an insurance brokerage subsidiary of NFP, where he managed and serviced insurance programs for professional sports entities, including league-wide facilities covering traditional property and casualty as well as management professional lines. Prior to joining BWD Sports/NFP, Adam worked for an insurance litigation firm, where he represented plaintiffs in complex insurance coverage disputes in both state and federal court. Adam authored memoranda of law on a broad range of insurance coverage issues, including business income loss, reasonable expectation of an insured related to policy interpretation, contract reformation, and ratification. Adam graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a Juris Doctor, and from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (cum laude).
