Niji Sabharwal

CEO, AgentSync

The co-founder and CEO of AgentSync, Niji built his career and company on the ethos that solving problems at scale requires the right proportions of people, processes, and technology.

Prior to AgentSync, Niji served in a variety of roles at Zenefits, a digital human resources platform. While there, he saw firsthand the dangers of non-compliance and the difficulties of ongoing producer license compliance maintenance. With Zenefits facing eight-figure regulatory penalties from nearly every jurisdiction, Niji pioneered solutions to manage the Zenefits compliance crisis. Those solutions would later become the foundation of AgentSync, all based on the idea that staying compliant and doing the right thing shouldn’t be that hard.

AgentSync’s driving mission is to enable scaled innovation in the insurance industry by building the most modern and customer-centric technology that tackles all of the pain points associated with producer management.

Prior to Zenefits, Niji served as global sales strategy and operations manager for LinkedIn. While at LinkedIn, he fought to invest in people and technology, building out the foundation and scalable business processes for the global sales teams. This was where he met his now wife and co-founder, Jenn Knight, who was Linkedin’s business system architect and the ying to his yang. Jenn and Niji built internal tools – many of which are still in use today – to perform their jobs more efficiently and effectively. This passion for streamlining workflows is one that has stuck with Niji across his career.

While modern technology shapes every aspect of people’s lives, many businesses and industries struggle to use these tools to maximize their potential. The intersection of business and technology is one of Niji’s intense passions – he thrives on helping others understand that tech-enabled businesses have more bandwidth to innovate and drive value for their customers.

As he puts it, “Accelerated innovation at scale is infectious and inevitably enables others to build upon it and create the next generation of innovators. I feel honored to be one link in the never-ending cycle of technology-driven business transformation.”

Niji was born in San Francisco, California and is a first-generation American whose parents emigrated from France and India the year he was born. He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara, Niji has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business economics.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Niji is a serial hobbyist who enjoys learning new skills. Among these hobbies is a passion for riding motorcycles and flying small airplanes, which Niji describes as “meditative, since there’s nothing else to think about while you’re riding or flying except the moment you’re in.”

When Niji isn’t dabbling in new hobbies, he’s spending time with his family, including his wife and co-founder, Jenn, and their daughter, Inga. Niji is a self proclaimed “crazy cat lady” and never misses an opportunity to nap with his two cats; 19-year-old Savage and vision-impaired Stevie, whose eyes were completely removed as a kitten due to a medical condition.
