Laurent Feuilleaubois, a French engineer, graduated from Imperial College London in 2013 with a degree in geophysics. His journey began atop Mount Etna, where he honed his skills as a quantitative analyst in the energy sector. In 2021, he co-founded Mitigrate in Norway, a venture focused on developing climate risk management software for claims and underwriting professionals. Mitigrate’s mission is to seamlessly integrate loss prevention into their workflow, proactively preventing future claims. Recently, Mitigrate successfully completed the Lloyd’s Lab accelerator Cohort 11 in London and is now actively establishing partnerships with insurers worldwide. Laurent takes pride in Mitigrate’s innovative approach to natural catastrophe risk, emphasizing loss prevention over increased premiums—a refreshing perspective in the industry with direct impact on customer satisfaction, lifetime value and down the line loss ratio.
