José Luis Bernal is an insurance industry veteran, currently leading MAPFRE USA’s digital innovations as Chief Digital and Data Officer. Prior to joining MAPFRE USA, he led the creation of MAPFRE Group’s Corporate Digital Division in its mission to speed up and foster MAPFRE’s worldwide development of digital business. The Digital Business Corporate Centre is now a center of excellence, where tools and techniques have been deployed in strategic partnership with Google, Facebook, Salesforce and other key players in the digital landscape.

José Luis also led the creation of the MAPFRE Insurtech Verti in Spain and was a Board Member of the leading Spanish and Mexican price comparison site rastreator.com. José Luis is an Actuary and has led technical areas at several top carriers around the world.
