Amir is currently an Advisor at AV8 Ventures, where he previously served as a General Partner leading the Fintech and Insurtech practice. With over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur, operator, and investor, Amir has worked with early- and mid-stage companies, focusing on financing, partnerships, and strategic growth.

Before joining AV8, Amir was a founding team member and Investment Director at Munich Re Ventures, where he led investment efforts for two funds and made early bets in Insurtech, Mobility, and Digital Health. His investments included companies like Next Insurance, Inshur, HDVI, Spruce, Ridecell, and Babylon Health. He also gained venture capital experience at Route 66 Ventures, focusing on Fintech and Insurtech investments such as Simplesurance and DriveWealth.

Amir began his career in Germany as a network engineer and later joined Legodo AG, an enterprise software startup acquired by Open Text (OTEX: NASDAQ), where he held roles in sales, business development, and product management.

Amir resides in San Francisco and holds an MS in Law from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, an MBA from Georgetown McDonough School of Business, and a BS in Business Informatics from RFH Cologne and the University of Cologne, Germany.
