Alex is a General Partner at AVP; his portfolio companies include Phenom, Contrast Security, Tive and Jobble. Previously, Alex was a Principal at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), where his investments included Braintree and Box. Previously, Alex invested in enterprise software, fintech and Internet companies at Silver Lake, 3i and FTV Capital.

Alex held also operating roles at Microsoft and Trilogy, and was a management consultant at Monitor Group.

Alex graduated with Distinction from Stanford with an MS in Engineering and AB in Economics, and received an MBA from Harvard, where he was named a Baker Scholar.
