Alex is an international executive with a long trajectory of working with organizations around the world to define and implement business building, growth and operational transformation strategies. 

Alex is currently the CEO of HCS Capital, an investment management firm established in Miami in 2016. As a co-founder Alex leveraged his experience in banking, insurance and technology-based transformations and his extensive business network in Europe, the Americas to build a boutique investment firm specialized in FinTech, InsurTech and Cybersecurity investing opportunities created by technology and regulatory discontinuities. HCS is currently running Fund III and has closed important exits over the las few years.

Previously, Alex was an executive at Allianz in Munich where he led the creation of new businesses like Allianz Partners and where he served as Board Member in charge of Innovation and Marketing. Alex also spent over 13 years at McKinsey & Company where he became a Senior Partner working in the Zurich, Paris, Geneva, and Santiago offices. 

Before joining McKinsey, Alex was a researcher at the University of Michigan in the US and the University of Lausanne Business School in Switzerland where he focused on software engineering and the use of Artificial Intelligence in banking and trading activities. 

Alex received an Engineering and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
